Many selections took place during the first half of 2022, with as many new awardees!

• Team FRM 2022

In March 2022, 50 projects were selected from the main list, for an amount of 18.8 million euros. 7 new projects were added, caught up on the additional list at the end of 2022.

• Initiation of young teams

This call is intended for young researchers, French or foreign, wishing to join a French research structure to set up and lead a new research team. Organized in 3 sessions - final selections in May, October and December - each funding can go up to €450,000 for 3 years.

• Valorization of "FRM Team" projects - maturation

The FRM wishes to amplify its support and its impact on French medical research by accompanying a step further the most promising projects already supported via the "FRM Team" program.

This new support aims to allow greater continuity between basic research and clinical or applied research by supporting work with potential for development.

As part of an action to support projects supported via the "FRM Team" program and, in the longer term, support for the maturation of the results obtained, the FRM launched the call for projects "Maturation of FRM Team projects”. 2 projects were selected in November 2022, for a total amount of €300,000.

• Regenerative Medicine

In the continuity of the 2021 call for projects, this call aims to support interdisciplinary research projects falling within the themes of restorative medicine. The projects supported must aim to validate a first proof of concept and present a strong translational aspect towards the clinic.

• Return from abroad

This funding allows young researchers to finance their return to France after one or more post doc(s) abroad.

• Post doctorate in France

Each year, the FRM funds young researchers during their first or second post-doc.

• Grants from partner Foundations / sheltered by the FRM

Thanks to its umbrella foundation status, the FRM supports individuals, researchers or companies in the creation and development of sheltered foundations . The FRM also benefits from the support of partner Foundations for which the FRM provides scientific and financial monitoring.

• "Mariane JOSSO" Prize

The Mariane Josso Prize is awarded to a young researcher wishing to carry out a thesis in the field of pneumology. A grant, from the FRM's own funds, is also awarded to a candidate who has won over the jury for the Prize.
